Aircraft USAF B-52H Bombers Landed In Medan

Ahead of the 2023 Joint Exercise Interoperability Bomber Landing between the Indonesian Air Force and the United States Pacific Air Force (US PACAF)

A number of USAF personnel and equipment arrived at Kualanamu Airport, Medan using C aircraft. -17 Globemaster III on Saturday (17/6/2023).

Following today, the US Air Force's B-52H Stratofortress bomber landed for the first time at Kualanamu Airport.
The Join Exercise Interoperability Bomber Landing 2023 is planned to involve the Indonesian Air Force's F-16 fighters from the 16th Air Squadron Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base and B-52H bombers.

This Joint Exercise is the first bilateral exercise between the Indonesian Air Force and the US PACAF involving strategic bombers, with the aim of increasing the professionalism of the personnel of the two Air Forces, as well as enhancing cooperation between the two countries, wrote Dispenau in a written release.

In addition, this joint exercise implements bilateral relations that have long existed between the armed forces of the two countries, to jointly maintain regional stability in the Asia Pacific region.
